The location was superb. Great access to an assortment of places to eat (loved the wine bar around the corner!) and shop. Walking on Linzergasse was very pleasant. It was easy to get to other beautiful areas of the city from where we were. The room itself plus layout was wonderful - large and with privacy. The bedroom facing out into the cemetery was so serene with the trees and birds. The bathroom faced the main pedestrian way through the historical district - the Linzergasse - and this too felt private but fun and lively. Nice big windows and comfortable bedding. The area downstairs for coffee/tea/breakfast - lounging - was very nice. We went out for breakfast but appreciated and utilized the tea/coffee machine. Finally, I love the shared deck access facing out into the cemetery. It was serene and restful to sit out and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine.

The most memorable thing they did was to allow us to check-in as early as 11 AM. This was after I've explained that we specifically visited Salzburg for the Sound of Music tour and my sister and her husband travelled all the way from California. The tour would have started at 2PM and all we requested was to leave our luggage at Reception. Special mention for Zeynep as she understood our issue and once we got there, she announced that our room was ready. That was very kind and so considerate of the hotel. There were three of us in the party and we were given a family accommodation with 2 rooms. I had 2 four poster beds in my room and my sister and her husband had the room with a queen sized bed. We're very happy with our experience and I might come back with my cousins next time.

Emaculatley clean and the bath and shower were perfect. Shame no breakfast apart from crossionts. But there was free tea and coffee and cake on afternoon. There's an honesty box( jar) for if you hae the crossionts or any alcohol out of the fridge. In an excellent location but the many many bikes are an hazard waiting to happen, you're lucky you don't get knocked down, but this is not the hotels fault. Shops and restaurants on the same street as the hotel. I've read complaints about hearing the traffic ( not much at all) and the Church bells next door,we only heard either when we had the windows open which is to be expected. I think some just like to moan. I would definitely recommend this hotel, its not far from the river,Cathedral and fortress in the old town.

We travelled as a family of 4 with two children. The property was perfect for our stay, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. The property is an older style boutique property in the old part of the city. It is beautifully decorated with many original features. The hotel is well located close by to two Spars, lots of restaurants and shops and a short walk to the river and attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We didn’t realise that the property didn’t have air conditioning but the staff brought us fans and the large double windows kept the property cool.

Unlike large chain hotels, Amadeus is rather compact. The fact that there's no overnight desk staffing nor in-room telephone is a bonus in that it can keep the costs down. Access via a key card allows entry all night long. It's location is safe along a pedestrian zone. Self-serve coffee and tee are available 24 hours a day, and the small, self-serve "bar" provides beer, wine, and soft drinks on the honor system. The staff were friendly and assisted me in finding a specialty shop for my dog.
